Save Temple

An Appeal to All Devotees – Let Us Rebuild and Restore Our Ancient Temple

“Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah”

“He who protects Dharma, Dharma protects him”

Sri Paapahareshwarar Temple at Vadathillai, a sacred abode of Lord Shiva and Goddess Maragadhambigai, has stood as a spiritual beacon for nearly 900 years. Built by our ancestors with deep devotion and rooted in rich Agamic traditions, the temple has withstood the test of time. However, due to age and natural wear, the structure has now suffered severe damage.

The Vimanam, roof, sannidhi walls, and even the flooring of the temple have deteriorated, posing a grave threat to the sanctity and safety of this holy site. To preserve this divine legacy for future generations, we have begun major renovation and restoration works, ensuring that every effort is taken to retain the original architecture and spiritual integrity of the temple.

The entire temple is now under repair, and we are working with care and devotion to complete the restoration and perform the Maha Kumbabishegam in the next four to five months.

We humbly invite all devotees, well-wishers, heritage lovers, and dharmic hearts to join hands in this noble cause.

“Kshetra rakshanam dharma rakshanam.”
“To protect a temple is to protect dharma itself.”

Let this be our offering to Lord Paapahareshwarar and Goddess Maragadhambigai. Let us come together as one family and restore the glory of this sacred temple.
